I have been here twice separated by about 5 years. Both times the food was good and service decent. Above average for bar food.

Wendy's is a landmark in the Chesterfield Valley. This is a classic old-school Burger & Beer Joint. They always have whatever sport is in season playing on a few TVs within the restaurant and bar, but it is not an Place overwhelmed with sports, it's not a sports bar it's more of a large hole in the wall if that makes any sense. During the summer they also have an outdoor patio. You never know who you will see at this place either all sorts of people come here for the great burgers. Don't overlook the pizza either!

Many years ago, we started going here for supper. Usually we shared a Deluxe pizza. Thin crispy crust and fresh ingredients make a fresh tasting pizza. A friend of mine would join me for lunch on Saturdays for a burger or wings. Everything was always very good. There are several draft and bottled beers, wines, and mixed drinks. My wife likes the well vodka in a gimlet. Wente's is a friendly neighborhood bar that is unusual only because it is not near a neighborhood. The Wente family were auto racers, so there are racing memorabilia on the wall. I always go to Wente's to watch the Indy 500 and NASCAR races.

Awesome little "hole in the wall." Wente's is one of the oldest establishments in the valley, and is distinctly different from the cookie-cutter chains found on the rest of Airport Road. A dive bar in the best sense of the term, Wente's serves solid American-style bar food and cold beer for reasonable prices in a no-frills atmosphere. Bask in the glow of TV's and neon signage inside, or enjoy the patio on a nice day/night. I've been for a quiet lunch with the wife, and pleasant group outing during the day, and a Bachelor party Blues watch at night. Wente's was terrific for all three. The staff is down to earth, fellow patrons were friendly, and the food hit the spot. I would highly recommend the smoked hot wings, they hold their own against any in the STL area. If you're looking for a non-pretentious place with good food in Chesterfield, Wente's is the spot.
